turbo rebuild

Hey i found a cheap t3 turbo .42/.48 on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33742

it says the turbo has 'seized' and needs a rebuild. About how much would it cost to rebuild a t3? anyone have personal experience on how much you paid?

I see turbocity.com has rebuilding service

ah btw, noob question..whats bigger a t25 or t3 .42/.48? i'm gonna run around 8-10psi and i need to find decent size turbo

Re:turbo rebuild

I think that $35 is a little steep for a seized turbo. The rebuild kit will run about $100 and while be much more expenseive to have it rebuilt by someone else.

Here is a link of a place that sells a rebuild kit:

Re:turbo rebuild

I have used both a T3 and a T25 on my dohc zc and i like the punchiness of my T25 better, also with it being a little smaller i didnt have to make a gay ass adaptor for the actuator to be mounted but it wont push more than 10 psi comfortably 12 max anything above that and it sounds a bit like its gonna spin apart
