T-25 quit spooling on my D16y8 for no aparant reason.little shaft play no burning oil no exhaust leaks, spins freely i can see it spinning at idle and when i rev it. wastgate is fine i even wired it closed to make sure, i have stock exhaust but thats not it either. I unhooked the down pipe and ran it to make sure. didn't hear any squeeling like the compressor was hitting the housing or anything. the only thing that changed was my vacuum fell a few notches. i'm stumped

 

did u check for any boost leaks in the charge pipes

 

thats what i thought it was at first so i checked everything over and nothing. but that not it i know the turbo isn't spooling cause i can't hear it spool

 

check for boost leaks.

my money is on you popped a charge pipe or split a coupler. check those couplers close.

 

take off ur charge pipe at the throttle body, only disconnect it from the throttle body, light a ciggarette and blow all the smoke up in that bitch, see if ya got any smoke coming from the couplers

 

why would a boost leak cause my turbo not to spool if anything it would spool like mad

yea lol, thats how old school techs find vaccum leaks

 

boost leak in the charge pipes man, if u can't hear it spooling then ur wg is stuck open or ur leakin before the turbo. u need to do some ultimate checks around everything. find the leak cuz we can't do that for u. all we can do is give u ideas.
