Default Turbo questions

I have a few question i would like to ask and get a answer for if possible.

-How can i tell that my turbo is in good condition when I take apart the snail housing on the turbine and exhaust side?-will i be looking for any broken seal, leaks, worn things, and noises?

-Can someone give a quick brief explanation of denotation?-Is it some sort of sound i have to listin too or something that I can see and also what causes it?-I kind of know what it means but in a way I'm kind of counfuse.

-How do I or will I know that my turbo is getting enough oil and is it drainning fast enough also?- what do people mean when they are talking about a -4 hose going to a -3 hose and if that is the case which one will I need for my turbo?- I will be tunning a Saab T3 turbo on a D16z6 motor.

-Should I get a one step or step colder plugs for my D16z6?-I will be running around 6-12 psi.

1. https://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/...;threadid=4329

2. Detonation is causes by the engine running lean under boost, instead of the fuel burning its exploding in the cylinder. it often sounds like marbels bouncing on your valve cover

3. if the oil drain is straight down to the oil pan it will drain fine, just make sure u got a good sized hose for the drain.

4. i think its colder plugs.. (not positive)

good luck
