Turbo Project help...(its a T-3 not a &%$% T-25!) T-3 Questions.

So after a long while of studying/reading/planning for boosting my ZC powered CRX, I finally started buying the parts.

First up the Turbo, I sourced a T-25 from a classified Ad here on this site, it shows up, and its not a T-25, but a T-3, no biggie really, just that I dont know as much about the T-3.

The turbo seems similar, except the intake and exhaust housing are different. Its the Exhaust/o2 housing and wastegate that is giving me a headache. It seems to have a goofy bolt patern and lay out, as the exit from the 02 housing leans to the right.

So how hard is it to make a downpipe for this turbo? I was planning on using a flange and wielding up my own piping, who makes these damn goofy shaped flanges, or will a down pipe bolt on up to the existing housing?

Also what is the Wastegate psi set at? I have read about 5psi, does this mean the the wastegate actuator doesnt have to be lengthened like the T25? How will this effect the end result of my turbo's boost setting?

....And Finally where can I score an oil exit fitting for this turbo? so far all I have seen is a barb type fitting. :P

....Thanks for the help...."I love it when a plan comes together"

Well, you can probably get the downpipe flange from cheapturbo.com , and maybe the oil fitting, too.

A barb fitting isn't bad, as long as it's big enough and you use a big enough hose going to the oilpan.

Welding a downpipe isn't hard at all, you can get the mandrel bent pipe sections from jcwhitney.com and cut and weld them to size, it's really easy that way.

Good luck!!!

Yeah I can get some pics up, though I have to mail them, I dont have anyone to host them. To help though the o2 housing is a 5 bolt set up and the wastegate/exhaust port is in one large chamber

I'll send you some pics after lunch time.

I was hoping to get an oil fitting that ends in a thread and not a barb, Im not much on clamping oil connections, if their is any way for things to screw up I find a way, so I want to "bullet proof" this installation every way possible
