i have 2 questions what will i need to turbo my 92 dx and if i swap the engine out for a sohc vtec later will i be able to use all the turo parts or will i need new ones.

Well I'm not much of a Honda tech but...........Turbo installations are pretty much universal (the basics anyhow)
You'll need header/manifold (factory modified or fabbed) steel piping (exhaust) at least 2.25" in diameter. You can use steel piping for the intercooler (if you run one) but aluminum and/or rubber is prefered (no use in the extra weight of steel if it's not needed). Feed/return lines fro the oil. I use 1/4" for the feed and 5/8" for the returns. you can have the feed lines made by your local hydraulic hose company pretty cheap and get good indrustrial strength hose. On the return you can use heater hose (I don't) but I'd suggest getting some decent hose from the hydraulic shop. I'd suggest looking into brass fittings as a hobby. I say this because used corrctly, they can be of great gealp when it comes times to feed/tap items. I had to use an array of them to feed my turbos and oil guages correctly with out starving the motor
Here's a pic of what i mean

In the pic you can see the tap from the block that feeds the 2 oil ines for the turbo and the oil pressure sending unit on the bottom of it all. I put the sending unit onthe bottom so I'd know how much pressure the motor was receiving AFTER feeding the turbos (important). Also in the pic, if you look behind the brass connectros, you can see the return line from the passenger side turbo and the fitting I have welded into the pan.
Lastly you'll need a decent turbo. I myself live/die Garret turbos. Easy to find and universally understood on how to modify and repair. Though there are others, I can't speak on them as i don't use them.
In whatever you use, look for a .48 exhaust housing and a .42 on the compressor. This is a good compromise for a motor smaller then 2.3 liters as far as spool up and top end is concerned. you can go larger on the compressor side, but I'd still stick to nothing larger then a .48 on the exhaust side for good all around driving and spool up maneers.

Yes, if you build a turbo for your dx, it will all work on your d16z6 or d16y8 vtec swap.
