Default Turbo Oil line return...to weld or not to weld??

hey guys, my project is nearly done... a whole 3 months of hard work and $3000(AUD) is about to pay off... shes going to be boosted by the weekend

now its come time to drill my sump... my welder said he dosnt really want to weld it as he might melt it...

ive seen alot of you use that cold weld stuff... is it any good?? does it work

i think its called JB weld, as i dont really want to make my sump go bang, to remove my sump you have to remove the engine from the car... not a option

any idea's/??

JB makes some better stuff called "Water Weld". We used it to repair a gas tank on a Rally Car, fixed my oil pan after a rocky "incident", and a bunch of other stuff. I prefer it to JB standard.....

And in fact, I bet I am going to be using for the exact same purpose you will be.....

I used a bulk head fitting that I picked up from my local hardware store. Just drilled a hold and installed the fitting, no welding or anything, hasn't leaked a drop!

I was afraid to weld the thin oil pan with the shitty flux welder that I was using, so I decided to take my chances with a weldless setup. It's worked out fine so far.

Just something i am slightly confused by, your going to drill your sump in situ? I'd never knowingly introduce swarf into my engine lubrication system. Be sure to rinse that f@cker out with plenty of clean oil.
