turbo oil drain question

i have a t3 from a crysler car and with it bolted to my manifold the oil drain pionts to the front of the car. will this make it dump oil into the exhaust/intake of the turbo?

Re:turbo oil drain question

you need to clock it so the drain is facing straight down or it won't drain properly.

i cant turn the exhaust side because of where the flange is , do you think it is possible to drill and tap a new drain, i dunno if the coolant passage is there or not

You should be able to loosen the exhaust housing and the compressor housing and rotate the center section of the turbo so the oil return goes down.

I'm going to have to do the same thing to my t3/t4. The drain points straight up. How retarded is that? It isn't like it is a used turbo or anything, it is part of a kit. Oh well, I've gotta say I'm just a little nervous about messing with it.
