turbo and oil cooler help???

So I am thinking about installing both at the same time...can I use my oil drian line from my turbo as my feed line on my oil cooler and my drain oil cooler into my tapped oil pan?? Will that work????? So instead of it going to the pan it will b cooler going to the pan????

NO. You want the oil cooler before your turbo and you want the cooler on your feed line.

oh ok so
OPTION 1
from my oil adapter to my oil cooler inlet and from oil cooler outlet into turbo feed and turbo drain into my pan..will that work?

OPTION 2
adapter to oil feed and drain into oil drain and adapter second port to oil cooler and outlet into drain pan..so the turbo and oil cooler will be in separate ports and ill T off the drain pan for oil cooler and turbo oil...

will either of these work??

wat do u suggest?

option 1 - if all the oil is coming out of the oil adapter to the cooler to the turbo's oil restrictor you just stole all the oil flow from the engine (engine goes boom)

option 2 - is this an oil filter adapter? they generally have one outlet and one inlet - not two outlet ports - teeing the high pressure cooler return oil to the low pressure turbo return oil backs up oil to the turbo (turbo goes boom, and probably engine goes boom from lack of oil flow return from the oil adapter :-) )

option 3 [mine - others please chime in if i've screwed it up!]

Tee off the oil filter adapter outlet to oil cooler and turbo [ the turbo has (should have) an inline oil restrictor to keep from overloading the turbo]
Most of the flow will go to the cooler then return the oil cooler flow to the oil filter adapter return

Return the turbo oil using a much larger line (this is low pressure here which is what teeing the high pressure return from the oil cooler would screw up!) to the oil pan ABOVE the level of the oil in the pan - gravity has to drain this larger hose and running it to a level below the oil would back that oil up.

Generally this means you get to drill a hole and weld (have welded) a hose return bung to it.

Good Luck!
