Turbo No tune

Hey, I know this thread is OLD but... In answer to the original question, What is the difference between the Jdm d15b and the USdm d15b7, there are lots of differences.
Jdm d15B = Vtec, 130hp, same 84mm stroke but bigger rod journals for strength & higher deck height for better rod length to stroke ratio. This engine is what Japan has instead of our d16Y8 (127hp Vtec) Three more horsepower on 100 fewer ccs! The cams are likely different too.
Usdm d15b7 same bore and stroke but: non Vtec, 106hp, and weak rods.

no. the more boost, the more heat produced. the more heat produced, the better chance of detonation. take that added heat and no fuel to cool it down and its not long for it to blow up. besides. without the added fuel under boost the engine will lean out to a point where the engine will back fire and no longer have enough power to accelerate. i say this guy was bullshitting.
