turbo a nissan p/u?
 

Is there any way to do a homemade turbo on a nissan p/u, 4 cyl, KA24E? If there's a design out there somewhere i'd like to know....or if there's a design for a homemade supercharger too....i'd like to know as well.

same way you'd do a KA 240sx, no difference whatsoever, and there is a million write ups on that if you look hard enough

do you have any idea where i'd be able to find that information? i'm not really on the net enought to track it down, and i would rather do it myself than spend a whole load of cash for one

you might wanna check out some nissan forums, I'm sure they'd be able to help you out a lot. There are some nissan drivers here, but not very many.

There is one in Hammond LA...
We went to a meet one night and he pulled up next to me reving. I didnt think anything about it, didnt here the bov or turbo in trafic..... We went from a 20 roll and he walked off on me bad... It was a Sr20det 20+ psi.... I was mad untill he poped the hood. Then I started to hump.... :-X

They make KA turbo manifolds and hell I think ssauto makes one for it! ::)

You my friend are queer, thats like asking why ---- some ----- when i can get some mangina. KA is a very potential engine considering the crazy ass iron rods and iron sleeves.Try revhard for a t3 mani.

sr20's have been known to handle upwards of 450-500 hp with stock bottom ends....you dont see guys in japan swaping KA's in to the silvia's do ya o.0

your a jackass... he's saying why swap out an engine with potential... its stupid... and of course your not going to swap out an engine for a not as potential engine...

I wouldn't put a little turbo on a ka24e there just to big of engines. so at least t3/t4 is needed. with a big turbo you need bigger internals for that thing.bigger injectors,fuelpump,safc,z32mafs, external wastegate,intake manifold too,topmount turbo mainfold. These engines do have potential, but save the time and money sr20det you'll be satisfied! unless you like bigger turbos on little psi.

thats a horrible motor to turbochrage. he hs the the ka24e... not the DE commonly found in the 240sx. In other words... he has the single cam POS. I would advise him to get the twin cam from the 240... then start from there

ummmm, E's are awesome engines to boost. Where are you getting your information from? Also, from 89-89, the 240's have the SOHC E engines. Get a manifold from JGSturbo.com.

Not to mention, E's have top feed injectors. Much easier to get more fuel for cheap as opposed to the DE's side injector setup

DE's have more aftermarket support. That's why I would rather swap to that than to stick to the single cam.

Well yeah, if you're building the motor, its easier to find internals for the DE, but if you are just doing a junkyard turbo, theres no reason not to stick with the E. Lots of guys do it http://www.nicoclub.com/zeroforum?id=131

DE's are cheap to buy anyways... turbo the ---- out of the truck man... and if it blows, then get your self a DE
