Turbo mini-me Q.

Hey everyone I am getting ready to build my mini-me (a6-z6) Now I have some z6 pistons laying around an I used compresion calculator an it came up with 8.94:1 Do you think that is low enough to boost 10psi on a 14b with hf mani? I also have arp rob an head bolts. Thanks for any input

Yea i will be doing the same set up with a6 pistons, only 8psi though...

It's fine. I'd have no problem tuning a 10:1 compression motor.

Just tune it right and you'll be fine, all stock B Vtec motors are over 10:1 and they boost nice :y

Re: Turbo mini-me Q.

The only reason I brought it up is because everyone said that the a6/z6 mini-me is too high comp. to boost safely so I was thats why I was thinking about putting the z6 pistons in there cause they are more dished than the a6 ones.

Do you know how to swap pistons out? You'd need to hone the cylinders, get new rings, and take everything apart and its a headache unless you have a nice place to do it.

Yes I know how to swap out pistons. I have built alot of honda motors. But mainly all n/a. An I am now wanting to boost.
