Turbo manifold, stainless or carbon steel?

I see every body making there manifolds out of stainless steel and I was wondering, what is the advantage? Is it tougher, more crack resistant, or just better looking? Carbon steel is a lot cheaper and easy er to work with so I would like some input on his before I start on my project. Thanks

Don't worry I'm making mine out of carbon steel I think :-\
Well it's pipes end mendrel bends from the plumbing store real thick and stron though i think it's carbon steel.
Well it's cheap and easy to work with yeah if you're on a budget. I'm welding it this week and spraying it with High temp paint. I think it will hold up though.
If it rusts out in about a year or two I'll just make another one boughtonly cost me 20 bucks
