Turbo limit?

Turbo limit?
Stupid question, I know, but I'm gonna ask anyways.
What happens when you top out a turbo? I just got a T3 and am going to pick up a much larger turbo later this week (probably hit up the old diesel grave yard down the street) for a twin turbo setup I'm going to piece together for either a 350 Chevy or Caddy 500 drag truck I'm going to be building later on this year.
Best as I can tell, the T3 (from a Saab) is rated at about 450cfm and 300hp. Well, my motor is going to make a hell of a lot more power then that, so my question is what's going to happen?
What happens really depends on how I do the setup. On average, I've made 600hp on pump gas Caddy 500s, so to bolt up a T3 to that, and then a much bigger turbo, is it just going to destroy that little Garret? Would I be best giving it to my buddy for his SVT Contour?
Obviously I don't know a whole hell of a lot about turbos. I've done some supercharger setups, but that's a very easy thing. Mostly I've been involved in N/A setups for the street and strip, and lately I've taken a big interest in turbochargers. Also, if anyone knows how much psi a T3 off a stock turbo Saab would be capable of, I'd be much abliged.

Re:Turbo limit?
yeah youll make it try to spin faster than it should and itll grenade, those figures are pretty much an absolute maximum. Im going to think youre gonna need somthing like 2x T3/T04E's to support the kind of power youre looking at

Re:Turbo limit?
Not to be an *** about it but WHAT ARE YOU THINKING??
Think of a t3 on a 4cyl an the spool time of a .60 .68 turbo 4cyl.
Now think of it on a 350ci v8 with almost double the exhaust flow,Its goona spool faster but excessive turbine rpm make turbo ineficient.
Now think of a 500ci engine an the amount of exhaust.A t3 would spool at prob 1000 rpms an be done at 2500 maybe 3000 due to the amout of exhaust gas flow.
Also have you ever seen aftermath of an exploded turbo? I bet it would be detrimental to the engine, intercooler, carb everything in its path.
Just my 2 cents worth.
Keep an eye out here theres a 500 caddy twin turbo setup in the works. Its sitting on the engine stand with a nice dual quad manifold waiting to be installed.Just to damn cold in the garage to work out there....
A straight t4 turbo on a mild 350 running 5 to 10 psi works great. Will have some dyno numbers this weekend an video of the sbc t4 turbo project.
