turbo life

hi there i am new 2 this site and am from england. We dont hav or do anything like u guys over here and i think its great what u do.I know bits about the turbo scene but im always looking 2 learn as much as possible. One question iv got is with a good set up and a good tune on a decent condition engine ,how long will it last until something breaks thanks

good to here about outsiders coming in, but to answer your question, if you are just going to dd the vehicle of choice and not rape it like a 16 year old virgin then your typical turbo dd should last very long and reliably without anything at all breaking. when you get to raping on it daily, then you really have to start worrying about breaking parts. but its a completely different story when it comes down to said vehicles and the choices you have.

thats good 2 hear as that was my only concern because it is my dd and cant afford 2 b without it 4 2 long.Iam driving a civic coupe 1997 with a d16z6.Just in the process of collecting bits a pieces for the turbo set up. I wish i lived over there u wouldnt beileve how exspensive parts r over here even second hand

You're in the right place then, there are all kinds of cheap parts here.

Re: turbo life

i know even with shipping costs its cheaper than the uk.I hav been reading a lot on this forum and i am astounded at the amount of knowledge that a lot of people hav on this site. Do most of the people work in the motor industrie or is it just a hobby

Re: turbo life

more or so a hobby i believe. few are in the auto industry i believe. as for myself im just a hobbiest when it comes to cars in general. turbo charging my honda is just the first step i plan to take with it. im working on suspension components right now. as well as my TA that im working on. just got a built motor for it and in the works of getting a stall converter for it and suspension work on it as well.

post up some pics of you honda. lets see what we are working with here.

that bites, but you have the skyline :'(

in my area so far ive counted 5 different hatch's, and 3 different crx's of the 90-91 year. only one looks at least half decent to me. the others are all riced out.
