turbo install...having problems with the WG hitting the block***my pics***

so as the title says, i am trying to install my turbo, i tried to get everything "mocked up" today, but the wg is hitting the block. i already cut out part of the enigne mount. it still hits the dam block. >:(

my set-up, T3, HF manifold, bmc adaptor plate.

i think im ------ something up or missing something really simple. i am setting my turbo just like this:

(jeffs install from the main page) but i had the compressor housing facing down. this shouldnt matter should it? can i smash the WG a little? WTF am i missing. no pictures on mine. :-\
edit
here are pictures of my set-up on hotrexs old motor. (which is inside my house) but you get what i am talking about

You may be able to reposition the WG so that it doesn't hit the block. Or shave some of the webbing on the block.

it looks like jeff shaved the block a little....

i would just be worried about going through the block. :P

Good luck with the grinder. If you see coolant, you went too far. :P

I had the same problem with mine so I just made a manifold.

It would be kind of a pain in the ass to set everything up again, but if you turned the turbo around, your problem would be solved. The only trouble is that the downpipe gets a little wierd to make.

No that doesn't work either. The only way to make it work it to mount the waste gate actuator on the block and get a threaded rod long enough to make it to the waste gate.

i had that problem, i acutally modifyed the wastegate brcket so that it cleared. instead of using two bolts to hold it onto the compressor housing i used one and bolted it as close to the manifold as possible...plus i cut it some too
