Default turbo hybrid

sup... i got a brand new garret t3? or sumthin i dont know exactly what it is... look at the pics... its new, and has a t3 flange..

well, i have a dsm manifold on my ----, so the t3 flange wasent workin... i had a blown t25 layin around, and thought "hmmm... maybe if i take off the turbine housing, and put it on the t3 i can use it?" and that idea was born.... at around 2 o'clock i was diggin out the turbo, out of a pile, cold as pile.. and started takin it apart.... took the new one apart also. i put the t25 (dsm) exhaust housing on t3. and the wheel didnt spin...i put grease on the inside to see were it was hittin, and it was just the tip of the fins... maybe 1/8 of an inch. so off to the grinder... kept grindin untill it spun freely.. i grinded it a little over, so when shaftplay sets in, it would have cleanrence.... it fit perfectly, and it had an adjustable wastegate, but didnt fit right, so i tapped on the copressor housing for the bracket... fits good...

is there any reason why it wouldnt work? also, if it doesnt, i will find out tomomrow, cuz im throwin it on... if not, offer sumthin so i can sell it....

welp... pics....

this is the t3 or sumthin

the t3 houing apart

u cant see the grease marks on the fins... but it was just at the tippity tip

still grindin

okk... now it clears the fins....

done grindin, and polished

turbo and t25 housing

finished

another shot

all done... tommorow, install...i forgot to take pics of the compressor hosing... but i'll have one on tomorrow... let me know if i shouldnt run it...

oh yeah.. and my old fittings fit on this one, so they will be gettin used...

im guessing i'll have a pic of the compressor housing up tommorow... it has an internal bov, and my piping already had a bov, so i ran both of em... but all i hear its like a little chipmunk chirp..
