Man everyone always has to pick on neons - tiny little turbo on those like a 42 ar. and the turbo and manifold is one unit (wierd) just need a bigger turbo like a t/3 and you are in the 12 sec range if you can get traction. - bring on the flames!

Dude not trying to flame you - awsome job! Just saying everyone always says its still just a neon. I happen to have a 99 r/t - I dont have a scan of the dyno run yet but here are the numbers from a neon site

"I do not have the charts here as I did not go with.. But via phone call I got this information.

The a/f at 15psi was 12.0 steady and Donald didn't want to go any more lean than that, so they left the boost there. At that level it made 291.8 hp and 289.4 tq. at the wheels on a dynojet in Greensboro NC..

On a 75 shot, the a/f was down at a perfect 11:1 steady. The car then made 378.5 and 396.9!!!!

Donald plans to add a 1:1 regulator to add a few more lb's of fuel and crank the boost to 18psi.. Should see well over 300 on the turbo and 400 on the bottle..

Best run so far is 12.09 on street tires "

Mods are a new exhaust manifold

- t3/t4 w/60ar, 3" exhaust and downpipe

Larger charge piping - custom

changed stock 24lb to 30 lb injectors

I know it's still just a neon

My car wouldn't beat yours either and i am at 5psi

I know no one cares but the SRT-4 gets 30 more flywheel HP next year and traction control- should be good for mid 13's stock. R&T tested this year's at 13.90 most mags tested them at 14.20's or so.

 

not that im against Dodge Neon... SRT4

It's just what we have at the moment. Turbo VS. Turbo and see how fast we run.

 

I am suprised you run that fast with those mods though - how much does the car weigh? - we should be close to the same HP (mine is 215 at the wheels)but my car is full weight and about 2850 lbs (srt4 is 2950 lbs no driver) with me in it. If you are low 13 sec range i am about a full second slower on street tires!

Not you bashing - all those deals on flanges i gave him and ABAZ still has to make fun of my Neon. HE is always hurting my feelings with the neon comments
