That looks cool what is that setup called where the carb is mounted were the filter would go on the turbo. A friend of mine has this idea for his mirage.

Im building a turbo honda xr100 Dirtbike with the same carb setup. Im using the kkk kp31 turbo. Hope its fun to ride!!!

I believe that it is called a draw through setup, not positive though.

Carbon seal is one of the 3 typical compressor seals used in turbos. The 'baller' dynamic seal is like a piston's ring, and any fuel put through the compressor will wash it out, burn it up. Carbon seals use a carbon ring, and can be run longer w/gasoline that acts as a solvent/degreaser (de-OILer). But to give you an indication, many Chrapler turbo cars used carbon seals... :X
BTW I don't get the whole turbo Harley deal. If my parent's Harleys (and everyone in their chapter) are any indication, they are supposed to be loud and slow. A turbo would make it a bit more quiet...and fast. :S Unpossible! |
