??turbo golf 2.0???
I will probably end up spending about 1500 on parts to make the kit. He said he wants to run at least 15's and i can see him getting there on about 5psi so we are going to run a FMU. And hes very easily impressed so it will satisfy his needs the problem is i have only found 1 place that makes a manifold for them.
haha buy my friends new dimensions kit for a xflow. 2000 bucks and it was featured in sport compact car a while ago. na but seriously, look around on vw vortex for some used stuff. t3 60 trim is nice for that motor. i saw one put down 169/190 last weekend on 9 psi. they move pretty well- mid to high 14's probably on moderate boost, which is ok considering they weigh like 2800+ lbs
well it might cost around 2gs to build the kit up, theres not cheap manifold here. you can go to pes-tunning,greedspeed,neuspeed. also you ll def need a chip for his ecu which will run 300-400 depending which company you go with,if you dont do this his motor will be very unreliable, even with the fmu. also walbro fuel pump is a must,as the stock one will fall flat on its face unless you can find a s4 fuel pump which only runs for 950 from the dealer lol j/k about the s4 fuel pump. cheapest way would be to get him a manifold and turbo from the 1.8t whether it be the kkk k03 or k04 which is found on the audi TT.also he will need some S4 spark plugs which are already like 2 steps, they are 11 dollars each.i hope i was helpful and i would suggest you do alot of research before you end up having and enemy.
I got to drive my buddies 1.8T GTI before he got rear ended/totalled. I was pretty impressed with how torquey it was but you could tell the turbo was tiny..it started to drop off way before it's 6.6K redline
Also the down pipes on those things are not even 2" from what I could tell and the intercooler plumbing is a joke.
Overall a decent car but like all VW's it was PLAGUED with bullshit electrical problems left and right.
