??turbo golf 2.0???
There is a kid at my school who has offered me $2,000 to build a low boost turbo kit for his 1995 golf mk3 2.0L 8v. If anybody has links to turbo golfs or a forum it would be greatly appreciated.thanks -Wes-

Thats a good way to catch a seriouse beat down IMO

My best friends dad owns the speed shop here. And he said we can use the shop to install the kits and there are techs there to help us so we will not mess anything up.Its basicly his was of giving us a job. Just tryin to see if anybody knew a good place to buy turbo manifolds or anything.
i wouldn't try installing the kit on the golf swap the motor with a vr6 and twin turbo the engine alot better response the 2.slow is not that bad but i work at a vw dealership and those things are problem the catallitic converters melt under extreme heat and since it is an 8 valve good luck
Swapping the motor is kind of out of the question this is low budget he doesnt want a darastic diffence just a lil response out of his 4 cyl.If anybody finds a good site for turbo mani's let me know cuz i have only found 1
If your father has a shop..make one.
VR6's are overrated IMO...it's one of the most inefficient non US domestic engines I've ever seen.
2.8 liter 6 cilinder only making 175 crank hp.
A CRX Vti(b16) beats a Golf VR6...stock vs stock like it was standing still.
You can get some decent power out of them in stock form though and they sound really mean...
I just don't like the Golf2 and Golf3's truck like driving position...especially in the Golf3..sit high and the car feels like a big lump of lead.

How much of that $2000 are you spending in parts and how much are you keeping for your self for labor? You should beable to build a damn nice set up. What are you gonna use for managment?
A VR6 does have a strong stock bottom, but a 2.0 X-flow Golf 5 speed should have no problems seeing 13's, I bet that's plenty fast for a kid in school.
