No, 2.0 is a street tire 60'. On slicks, I'd hope for 1.6-1.8 second 60' on a budget... combine that with not lifting between shifts and you should be well within the 8's on your current power level.

I agree. Try for at least a 2.2 if not an even 2.0. It's not easy with street tires though. If you get under 2.0 you'll see far better times overall. Have you ever been to Race Legal in San Diego?

Fixed it for you.

If Daniel can run flat 9's in the 1/8th, 60' of 1.9x on 13" steelies with dry rotted crap tires and stock suspension, then anyone can. We're not talking a whole lot of power here - we're talking about using it well. Seriously, that lowering ---- is COSMETIC, the complete opposite of FUNCTIONAL. Depending on what exactly you've done, most drag-only CRXs will have a little dip in the nose with the *** at stock of higher ride height. For a street car on a budget, 1/4" to 1/2" below stock ride height MAX with dampers that match your spring rates, and a good alignment will get you far.

If Joey were on the $25 suspension budget, Joey would run bone stock suspension with stiffer Energy Suspension radius rod bushings, and build suspension limiters for both front and back suspension out of old blown shocks. These are pretty easy to tighten down at the track so you hook, and then loosen up so you can corner on the street. Dial out all suspension travel in the rear, and tighten down the front so that you get 0 camber with the nose lifted under power. That would do a better job than Goforth's CRX that runs 1.7 60', 7.01@108, because it's a better setup than what he has.

You guys South of the border are doing a fine job making power on a budget, if you tinker with suspension a little people's jaws are going to start dropping.

That is one of the nicer low-buck setups I've seen. What did you do with the .48/.60? Wanna sell it? lol I could use one.
