Default turbo coolant lines

hey guy, i have a question about the coolant lines on my turbo set up. i am planning on running a turbo on my b18a, i would like to know how bad it would be to not to hook up the coolant lines and just pluging it up?? IF i can't find a turbo with just oil feed and no coolant. i was only planning on running 5-7 lbs on the motor...thanks

Hook up your coolant lines, they will do good in the long run, done cheap out.

I'm not running coolant lines, and I know of a lot of people that don't care to run them. If you spend a pretty penny on a turbo, sure, why not for the added insurance (they make it possible to hook up coolant lines for a reason). If it's a junkyard T25 or some volvo T3, why bother?

The high heat could cause coking in your oil.
Personally, I wouldnt want a bunch of residue in my oil.

I ran coolant lines so I don't have to let my car cool down for so long...

the coolant can still circulate after your engine is off, that way the cast iron cools slowly and is less likely to crack....

It only costs a few bucks in fittings and takes about 10 minutes to do... if your turbo has a water jacket, why not use it?

ikno this is old thread, but wondering if it matters what side I feed, and what side is return on the turbo. There are two holes, and im guessing one is feed, and one return.
