Re: turbo, compressor or supercharged for my daewoo lanos 1.5
take no offense to anything I say...but isn't daewoo a crappy korean company that didn't last long before it was bought out by gm? Where are you from?
I guess for that car I'd run low boost with a small mitsu or t3 or something. I woulda bought a honda though... |

Re: turbo, compressor or supercharged for my daewoo lanos 1.5
yeah they did...not sure if they still do. They made cheap cars that looked a LOT like other companies' cars. I guess they didn't sell too well...

I would think a nice DSM turbo, or something smaller would suit your needs very well. Don't supercharge, turbo the bitch. |
Re: turbo, compressor or supercharged for my daewoo lanos 1.5
yeah just turbo that bitch, cheap and efficient. I would'nt worry so much about the motor being weak just because it's a Dewhoo, it cant be any weaker then a D series and people turbo those all the time.

Well considering my wife also bought one of those lanos piece of ------- ----, the first thing I would change if considering to turbo it would be the valve cover since it is made of plastic and if I'm not mistaken I think the intake manifold is made of plastic also :-X I would look at having something fabbed up for those before going considering turboing it. Valve cover might not cause too many problems but personally I wouldn't take the chance.
I hate that car, I'm so tempted to sell it everytime I look at it but it isn't work ----... so we're pretty much stuck with it.... But on the side not it hasn't given us much problems beside ball joints and tie rod ends, not bad for only 100k on it ::) |
