Turbo charged Lawn mower
 

this is pretty much for the hell of it... i need to find the smallest turbo charger that is out there....small enough to be spooled....even partially, or just for looks..

I think it would be funny !!


I was screwing around with one of these....desk top engine dyno thingys...

I could so a 1/4 mile in a 165.09 @ 8 MPH

i don't know the smallest turbo i have seen is from a firefly turbo which is like 1 liter 3 clyinder haha even thats probably too big for you 1 cylinder lawnmower. Maybe boats or snow mobiles have small turbos.

i didn't think boats or snowmobeils came with turbos..!!

i think this lawn mower has like...650 CC...

So maybe ..it's running like 7.5 : 1 COMP ratio..

Some serious turboing could be done.....but what they hay...what's it gonna do ? blow my mower up ??

If i did turbo this thing....it would endeed be one hell of a riding lawn mower !! it's already 13 HP !!! ( woot woot )

a turbo..boosting up to like 8 psi..

that's like 25 hp .....that thing would send rocks across a foot ball feild....while doing 15 MPH !!

what about a turbo from a chevy sprint turbo, ---- it man get a shot vac turn it on blow and jam the hose into the carb. also make sure u put a sting or somthing on the govener so u can over rev the ---- outa it, i had a mower i took the deck off and the hood painted it camo and son of a bitch flipped over on me cause i would go in reverse and jam it into drive lol great times.

----, I had my riding lawn mower up to about 30mph with the stock 8hp. I just did some pully swapping. It was geared just right so you would have to start out in first.

Well for one thing your mower probably doesn't have an oil pump so the turbo would need it's own oil system. And I doubt you can find a turbo small enough to actually do much on that motor. I'd rather seek out a small supercharger, perharps a smog pump from a big block V8 could do the trick. Another thing is that you'd want to run the thing on race fuel or AVgas, since it's an aircooled engine with fixed ignition timing.
