SOME of the oxy sensors for the 1.8T are ~$40 and its not the year that matters it is the engine code

see VW isnt like honda where a 1.8 dohc engine is a B18

there are many different engine codes for the 1.8T
AWW, AWP, AWD, APH, AWV, AWU, BKF, BNU, AEB, AUG, ATW,and AWM

For an AWW $60 an AWD $26 and for an AWM $180

the DV is only $50

just think those engine codeS are only for VW's GTI Golf Jetta Beetle and Passat

Audi has even more than VW for Quattro and non-Quattro cars
and for 180 & 225hp cars

but VW engines and heads are more compatible than hondas
you can take a 2.0 8v block, put a 1.9 TDI crank in it and stick it under a 20v 1.8t head and have a 2.1T for next to nothing

engine swaps are easy too
you can put a AAA VR6 into am 90 jetta using factory parts and plug the wire harness from the VR into the fuse box and roll
