Turbo cams or LS/VTEC??

Ok, I have a buddy that has a B18B in his 93 HB. I believe he is running a 60 trim T3 Garret at about 10psi using Uberdata on a chipped P28. He was thinking of either going with Crower stage 2 turbo cams and new springs and retainers or possibly switching to LS VTEC. In your opinion or from personal experience, which would be the better route? He has about $1k that he is willing to put into what ever route he decides to go. Also, if you have a choice of cams that you believe would be better than the Crowers he is considering, say so...he does not have his mind set on anything yet, but he wants to get started cause he is getting ready to put the car away for winter.

the vtec head is definitely the way to go. It doesn't even have to do with vtec, its just those heads flow that much better

I am kinda in the same situation with the motor i am planning on building, I'd have to agree the vtec head will jusr be a better head to build off of, you could even get vtec killer cams and run it without it just to have a better flowing head, good luck

LS/VTEC for sure, low end PoWa PLUS high end output.
