Re: turbo cam question

i dont have any experience with turbo cams but ive seen on jeff evans tuning site that turbo cams were junk on v-tec motors. given theyve dynod more hondas than most people they would probably know. on ls motors probably a different story. someone else who knows for certain should chime in now

Re: turbo cam question

oo i thought i should mention i do have the type r head complete with cams and valvetrain. i was reading on evans tuning and everyone favors the ITR cams so i kinda answered my own question. but should i even bother upgrading the valvetrain at all or just refresh the haed with new seals etc.???

Re: turbo cam question

many a Honda has dynoed at well over 600whp on stock B16A, B18C1, and B18C5 cams... the whole world (that includes Honda tech ;)) says that stock Honda cams are fine for boost and are good for well beyond your power goals...

there is no need to run anything but your stock cams...i would recommend a valvespring/retainer set though... your power goals are pretty low for a built motor, should be very easy with a stock head, cams, intake manifold, throttle body, etc... NO need to change any of that....
