Turbo Calculator

Re: Turbo Calculator
Thats nice and all, but most ppl on this board have no clue what the brake specific fuel comsumption and the volumetric eff. of their engine is. It can throw you way off base quite easily.
And I see no Holset or BW options. Fail. :3 |
Re: Turbo Calculator
I've posted that link on various sites for 2+ years.
BSFC only matters when they fudge the HP numbers. Fudging VE is easy if you have a brain. It's still easiest to go with the 10lb/min = 100hp rule and then just figure out how big of a wheel you need and what pressures you can run at to get said results. Then there is the reality of all the other restrictions in your system and if you don't know how to make reasonable assumptions, all of your calculations are worthless. |

Re: Turbo Calculator
On the calculator. Still won't change air flow calculations. Better BSFC is indicated by same air flow and same amount of fuel making better power.
