FINALLY, got my turbo in the mail but the guys item descrpitiong was a little off. This thing has SHAFT PLAY> What is spec for an 89 Dodge Spirit Turbo. Misubishi TE40H?

Hopefully I can live without a rebuilt for a while, Funds are Low

 

Try to get some money back. Tell him you are filing fraud charges with Safe Harbor.

 

some shaft play is normal. Brand new turbos have at least 1mm of shaft play. ---- tightens up when oils in it and everything. Don't sweat it unless its real bad

 

Thanks for the fast reply, Ya, the turbo is really dry in oil. It doesn,t spin to nice because of it, Hopefull all is good!

 

Okay after closer examination, the "little shaftplay (minor)" that I was told in the auction has some how through shipping turned into HUGE play to the point where the fins have worn on the housing. I'm pissed! This sucks Three weeks to get it and It is ------ crap!!

 

That sucks dude, I hope mine isn't that way when I get it, oh well a chance you have to take sometimes. I would file complaints....

 

To bad I already gave him a good feedback. But trust me he got a REAL nice e-mail. He better do something. I was a business doing the auction. I think a small scrap yard because it came with paint pen, tags and stock #'s on it

 

Anybody know where to get cheap rebuild kits?

 

scrap it, if the turbine hit the housing its fucked.

make a decent boat anchor though.

 

bottom line, to do others what has been done to you......sell it on ebay as mint condition.
