turbo backfires
 

Hello pep I have a b20vtec itr lsd trann
y and I have a brand new t3t4 turbo
Tha backfires a lot on hig rpms I had a used turbo before and never had
if u guys know something bout it reply I wanna get it running right tanks

how much more boost is it making? Maybe you are blowing the exhaust valve open at over boost!!

I don't know how much boost....over boost? wich inlet I use for the waste gate? I have it on the bottom one

sorry, but you need to give a better description of your setup. I simply commented on your condition due to what you said, which wasn't much. do you have a pic of your setup? I am new here and havn't any experience with turbos at all . but plan a build this winter. just gathering information and learning all i can. All things equal,you said you had a turbo and it ran good. then you changed the turbo and it backfires, so maybe the turbo is making more boost and is pushing the exhaust valve open? are the waste gates working?

I did check my wastegate and it opens wen im parkt it very opens is tha normal and I took my waste gate apart and looks like it has a week spring it came with 2extra springs bout my pic..can u check on youtube type jdmrafael yes have a dayli

I fix it it was my msd ignition system put everything back with my ignition coil and hi works fine tanks pep
