Default which turbo for B18B

hi everyone. my friend and I are buidling a turbo kit for my Integra. i have most of the stuff figured out. but the only thing i still need help on is figuring out which turbo i should use and off which car can i pull them from. my friend is a Volvo guy and he said that a turbo from a volvo or a Saab should be fine. but i dont want something that spools at like 2k cause that will burn up my gas like crazy. and with today's gas prices i dont think i can afford that. i want something that spools around 3k and has provides boost all the way upto redline.

Would a turbo from a volvo or Saab provide boost until redline in a B18B? (redline is 6800) and at what RPM would it spool? i heard its pretty early like around 2k but i'm not sure someone please shine some light on this.

i'm thinking a turbo from the older Tbird/Murker/SVO might be better cause its bigger (.60/.63) so this should provide boost until redline.. but at what RPM does it spool in a B18B?

any help is greatly appreciated thanx. oh yeah if you have a Turboed B18b please tell me your set up and what numbers you're putting down, and 1/4 mile time if you can.. thank you very much

You need to choke on my ***** and not be such a ------- *****.

Anyway to attempt to answer your question, rather than post some useless bullshit in attempt to sound like a hardass on the internet, you should go with the SVO turbo in my opinion, the SAAB turbo he's talking about is probably a .42/.48 which would, in my opinion, be a bit small.

I'd go with the 60/63 or a 48/60 if you can find one in the junkyard. I believe there's a sticky post at the top of this forum that goes into a bit more detail about what cars to find these in, but it sounds like you know that already.

Yup, I have run both the Mustang SVO T3 (.60/.4 and am now running a T3/T4e .57 trim and have noticed some differences between them both. Both are awesome sizes for street use on an LS. The T3 would spool at approx. 2800 RPM and achieve full boost by 3800. It was definately a puller My T3/T4e spools a little later 3k and will achieve full boost by 4k. It's top end just keeps going and wants to make more power. I'm sure after a good flowing head/IM combo you could be looking at some great numbers out of both turbo's.
