turbo accord question
hi i am new here but i have a question i was hoping someone could awnser. i have a 1991 hona accord with a jdm f22b dohc non vetc swap in it. it has a garrett t3 turbo off a volvo and i am currently running 7 psi with a fmu. i recently pulled the motor for the third time and was going to build it to run more boost and get it tuned since i cant drive it till january because of emissions problems. but i was looking around and found some people with 5 gen accords with single cam f22b1 and f22b2 running 13 and 14 pounds on stock internals and i wasent planning on that much anyways but was wandering if 10 or 11 pounds with a tuned ecu was even possable with stock internals and if so how much of a good idea is it.

Re: turbo accord question
Chip the ECU and tune it, you'll be good

Re: turbo accord question
thank you i think i will try it

Re: turbo accord question
its possible to run that much boost, but you gota have a good tune, since you have a higher compression.
But def. get a chipped p06 with ubderdata and you should be good. If you go to cb7tuner.com, there are tons of boosted cb7's there, and if you look around, I think midnightracerx has made some maps for a boosted f22 dohc, or maybe someone else on there can give you there map. |
Re: turbo accord question
will it hurt anything to use the ecu i have or can i
|
Re: turbo accord question
you can't use the stock ecu
|
Re: turbo accord question
yeah, your stock ecu is gay, its not chippable(sp?) po6's are everywhere, just go to a junkyard, go find an ex(or is it the lx/dx, i cant remember,, but the p05 works too) 92-95 civic, and pull out the ecu, shouldnt be more than 60 bux
