which turbo is this
Took a trip to the yard today and found a surprise........a 300ZX Turbo and the turbo was still in it!!!!! I yanked it out and am trying to figure out which one it is. I found a webpage that said that Nissan used Garret T3's but I wanted to ask the guru's here to make sure.
Also I found a volvo with a turbo....(intercooler was missing) I eyeballedthe turbo for about 3 minutes and said hell no to removing it. the turbo's flange bolts looked like they had to be removed from inside the exhaust manifold. It looked like a lot of hassle to take it off. Anybody know what turbo came in the late 80's Volvo's? I may go back if it's worth it. |
Re: which turbo is this

Disregard the volvo one I found out what it is if this ebay post is correct: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1990-...QQcmdZViewItem It says it's a TD04. The question is.......is it worth pulling out?

Re: which turbo is this
that nissan stg1 0.63 turbine is a good turbine, less prone to cracking than the ford/saab 5 bolts ones and it is just waiting for a larger compressor than it's stock t3 60 trim 0.60 a/r. T04B V or H trim or T04e 46, 50, 54, 57, 60 are all compressors that will do wonders on that nissan turbine.
