Only way that happends is if you put it on to tight.

How long have you been running your Tuner Toys T?

Re: Tunertoys t fitting

That's why I use a barb with teflon tape and run hose up to a couple of T's put together on the firewall for oil pressure sensor and guage.

Re: Tunertoys t fitting

The only time I've heard of it is when putting it on too tight, or there was that small custom made batch for a special community that left the threaded part of the metal too thin, but that was over a year ago and we got those ones back.

Even though you more than likely overtightened it, talk to Craig at TunerToys and he'll probably offer you a new one in exchange. If he doesn't, I will. We'll need you to send that one in for exchange though. It's better to inspect it than to just write it off as overtightening. Each one is custom made, and if there is a problem in the machining of one, Craig will want to know.

hey stealthmode pm me and let me know were to send the t 2..

These are made only for the stock pressure sending unit. No other sending units are approved, as they all weigh too much. Either way, we'll send you a replacement fitting. If you want to use any sort of aftermarket oil sending unit, use the Stealthmode Firewall kit to mount it and you'll be problem free.

craig is a great guy !

just to throw in my .02 cents.

long time ago (about 2 years) i installed a kit on my friends car. everything went ok, when we went to start the car we noticed it had oil dripping from the fitting. i tightend it as much as i could but the oil still leaked. my friend then trying to be a badass. he went down to fix my work but he ended up braking the fitting inside the block. after LOLing for a while we noticed that there was no teflon tape on the little pressure adjusting screw. :S

it was my second turbo build and the first time using tt oil lines. :-\

maybe i too should have been a member back then and got free ----. lol
