how does an electronic BC control the WC actuators?

Are the kit springs set usually at around 5 psi?...so why 5 psi?

So if I want 10psi with an electronic BC how does it work?

I assume it measures boost...say 10 psi then converts it to what ever the max spring actuator setting is..

Clear as mud.

Please help me understand- THX

an electronic boost controller works by monitoring the boost signal to the wastegate. the wastegate spring needs to be less then the boost being applied. if you want to boost to 15 psi the ebc will monitor the boost signal and when it sees 15 psi boost it will open its valve to allow the 15 psi boost signal to enter the wastegate which will open the wastegate. these units are expensive and if you mount them where you can access it while driving to adjust the boost level it usually ends in a blown motor....

so yur saying that the ebc solenoid actually allows 15 psi to the 5 psi spring? Or does the pressure get stepped down?

There is no electronics on the bc only a pressure port.

no electronics? your first post says electronic boost controller........
is it a manual boost controller or an electronic boost controller?
post a pic of what you have and the make and model bc
