Trying to make an HF->t25 adapter plate with pics
 

Hey guys,

First off, I know bout BMC and Wier, but after talking to some of the guys on at the HMT meet, I decided to go out to some machine shops and see how much it would be to get an adapter plate made. some said 100-200. I said ---- that but the last guy was a really nice guy and he actually said he would cut me a piece of aluminum for free, so I said sure!

Now is aluminum going to work with the high temps? Im going to have to mill it to size. My friends dad has access to a CNC mill, so I made some templates.

Now about bolts, I'm gonna need to tap some holes, anyone know what the thread size is on a T25 turbo?

the piece he gave me is pretty big, never mind the halfcircle missing, that will prob get chopped off.

these are the templates I cut out of card board you can also see the pen for size ref.

Well if you take a look in the tech articles you'll see some nice info one adapter plates. ;)

keep the aluminum for a paper weight and find some steel.

or maybe he can just buy a greddy kit thats ready to install and not so difficult. ^thats was stupid of you.he wants to be a DIY'r,has some resources,little knowledge and your telling him not to.

sorry im nobody just because i dont post everyday.my avatar is a 300zx( i own one along with a civic) and since it reflects on me,looking at your av i take it your a bitch.i know weirracing is a sponser,he contributed possitively to this thread giving him advice.incase ya dont remember he made his own BOV even though he could have bought one but he chose to do it himself(like this guy wants to).all in all if he wants to do it himself you shouldn't try and talk him out of it.it's coo though how you seemed to have a little hissy fit over a "noobs" post...im not replying in this thread again cas it's pointless.lata
