Re:trim size?
trim size for what?
|
Re:trim size?
sorry trim for a compressor wheel.
|
Re:trim size?
i think the only true way is to measure the wheel.
|
Re:trim size?
ok so what part would I be measuring? sorry as you can tell Im clueless :o
|
Re:trim size?
Yes you do acually have to take the wheel out and measure it...but keep in mind there is still more to it than that, the way the fins are made, the angle and all that stuff have affect on it too. The only way to really know the true flow characteristics of a compressor wheel is to have the compressor map.

Re:trim size?
so I guess I'm outta luck :( if I post a pic could you guys tell roughly by that?

Re:trim size?
trim size is determined by the inducer diameter and exducer diameter. What did you get that compressor wheel from?
|
Re:trim size?
so inducer would be where it sucks the air in and exducer is where it is pushed out? it's from a t3 .52 ar garrett. I assumed it was somthing like a 50 trim but just wanted to know for sure

Re:trim size?
Just measure the inducer diameter, a 50 trim should be 1.674 inch.
