toyota pickup v6 turbo... any suggestions

Hi everyone,

Im new to this site but not new to boosting. I owned a 300 hp integra ls (t3/t4, s200, 550cc etc) and a 93 lexus gs300 with a jdm 2jzgte auto swap on meth.

Well anyway I have a healthy 94 toyota pickup v6 with intake exhaust and cat delete. This thing is very slow. 150hp, 180 tq stock. Im looking for a small boost in power on a very low dollar amount. here is what im thinking.

subaru wrx td04 on about 7-9lbs mated to the factory crossover exhaust manifold
bosch bov
possibly a intercooler
boost gauge and wideband 02

tuning:
to keep cost low im thinking of running a 3 stage water meth setup used for cooling and additional fuel.

a 1gpm nozzle preturbo to increase efficency of the turbo and cool the charge
a 7gpm nozzle pre throttle body once boost starts
a 10 gpm nozzle in intake manifold at peak boost

the total kit will consist of a 250 psi pump, 8 gallon tank with low fluid level light

with all of the meth being injected and with 2 step colder plugs and a low base distibutor timing im thinking should be safe.

Any comments. I know this is different than the add bigger injectors and tune. Im only shooting for about 40 hp more if that just very nice response down low. I will put the truck on a dyno and tune the pump output and boost pressure switches to optimize the water meth.

wouldnt waste my time... i have the same truck except i rock crawl, hunt, and mud with it. the weak point on these engines is in the heads and the funky intake manifold. cheapest thing to do for more power is swap it out.... good site for info on toyota stuff is pirate4x4.com. but personally your opening a huge can of worms trying to turbo that motor. theres a guy who did it awhile back but i cant find the info on it. but in the end he spent tons of cash for little power improvement. good luck with what you decide.

on your setup thou i would put the turbo near the stock cat location not at the crossover. its super tight there... lol...
