Toyota ct-26 (II gen Supra) on '03 RSX type S questions
Hello everyone. I'm in the process of getting all the parts I need to put this ct-26 onto my K20a. Here’s what I have so far...
The ct-26 (internal waste gate)
air-to-air intercooler
greddy blow-off valve
Crowler valve springs and retainers
total cost to date : $200
So there’s still quite a few things to get. My brother has a wielder so we can make the manifold ourselves. Most of the rest of the stuff can be fabricated or found cheaply, except for the very necessary EMS. Is there an affordable alternative to hondata's K-pro? The thought of dropping over a grand on an EMS makes me pissed off. Has anyone else applied a custom turbo set up on there RSX? Who else is using the ct-26? I cant find many other people using this turbo, I cant help but wonder why... Well, thanks for any input in advance. -Jose

i havent seen a hmt rsx yet.... so you better follow through with this. also invest in kpro if you wanna make some reliable power.
dont bother with greddy emanage, i have a friend running it in his 02 si hatch and the ems is just garbage. kpro.

Oh, and I dont know why I wrote internal waste gate. It's external. Also, this waste gate is set to 5psi. Thats not going to cut it. Im going to see if I cant find a site to purchase an aftermarket one. I beleave ive read about other options (replacing a certain spring?) I'm going to see what I can dig up, but if anyone has helpful info, please give it up. Later.

im using a ct-26 on my corolla. i just bought it along with manifold and actuator and downpipe all for 250. probably shoulda paid less but oh well. its a 60 trim. i havent necessarily heard anything bad about these. they came in the altrac celica.

BTW, mr2/celica have the twin scroll style turbine housing, supra has the single inlet, supra ct's have much bigger compressors too. Wastegate actuators are also different.

Re: Toyota ct-26 (II gen Supra) on '03 RSX type S questions
Well the turbo is from a Supra. And I have heard these turbos are not very efficient. However, my power goals right now arent very big. I would say around 300 to 330 would be fine with me. This is my daily driver so durability is a big issue. The lofty compression ratio makes me worry about sustaining high horse power boost on practically stock internal. I'll start checking around for boost controllers...

Also, has this turbo been rebuilt? The newest of the supra ct26's is pushing 14 years old, if yours hasnt been rebuilt (at least new seals) then durability should be a cause for concern.
I have an 05 Type-S, so im interested in how your build goes...
I think your biggest concern should be your fuel/spark control, Ive heard good and bad things about the k-pro, and Joseph Davis has expressed to me his dislike for the hondata...hmm...

I do have a rebuild kit from Gpopshop.com, though I havent installed it yet. I need a day that both me and my brother have off to take care of it. I'm still not sure if I should replace the injectors or go with just a fuel rail. ...by the way, how do I post some picks on here? Insert image gives me those two lines of code or whatever, just dont know what to do with it!
