too high mileage?
I have a 96 civic ex with about 136k miles on it. Cars runs fine and compression is good. I am seriously considering throwing in a t25 or t3 turbo for at most 9 psi (hopefully around 200hp), but, i was just wondering considering my cars miles if i should or not ... does anyone on here have any suggestions about turboing a higher mileage car? thanks guys!
since when has 136k miles been high mileage?
My d16a6 just took a few weeks of 10psi abuse of constant raping and it has 262k miles. It didn't blow or anything, just pullin it to swap in the b18.
136k....good compression...perfect motor for boost.
200whp? get a 60/48. t-25 will be way too small

Its not so much the mileage but how it got its mileage if most of the miles were clocked by it being thrashed then maybe you shoulndt drop a blower in it but if its got motorway (highway) mileage then maybe you should put a blower in. either way youll know if you should when you do a compression test

as long as you have nice fairly consistent #'s across the board somewhere around 175psi or more, you should be fine.
