to4b water and oil cooled questions..

i recently picked up a garrett/airesearch to4b and it has the oil and water cooling features. do i have to plumb it for water or can i get away with just the oil for lube? this is not a dd car. any input on this would be great.i read on the garrett website that the water is for after run cooling so the oil doesnt coked or something.

use both cooling options it makes the turbo last a lot longer

dont bother with those cooling lines. I wouldnt even bother to plug em off. Just dont rape the car before you turn it off, or get a turbo timer

yes do this. many will say dont, im doing it on my t25 garret for longevity reasons and lifespan of the turbo. cool down is essential to a turbos life. turbo timers are also good to use. though many opt to not use them.

yeah they do help turbo longevity but most of the setups we do arent gonna see 100000miles on the same turbo... it just a trade off. i didnt hook mine up for simplicity and reliability reasons

5 turbo setups, I've never hooked up water lines, never had a problem.
