Tips on mounting IC on crx?
Well, i jsut searched for a bazillion pages, and couldnt find any good pics or tips on installing my johnnyracecar 6" fmic, im out there right now dinking with it, and cant seem to get it right. In the pics on his site, all the guys had no front bumper support, but if i remove that, how can i keep teh bumper up straight? Any help is appreciated, thanx.

I believe alot of the guys hack the front bumper and it's support to get a nice cosmetic fitment.

Re:Tips on mounting IC on crx?
A lot of people get rid of the metal bumper but honestly I wouldn't feel safe, because that is what actaully absorbs the impact if your hit something. If you cant get around it I would replace it with a piece of steel plate on each end at the original mounting postions, and weld a piece of tubing, like from a roll bar, 1 and 5/8 .143 wall, between them. That should get you some room.

Hmmm, i jsut typed in intercooler in the search topic, and that one didnt come up, but i did remember that, i figured you jsut archived them after a while. I probably shoudl have done advanced search, thanx though. i was afraid i would ahv eot chop up the front bumper support.

Re:Tips on mounting IC on crx?
The hf bumper is really tiny compared to the si bumper support and looks like it will be alot easier to mount the intercooler with, though I think I'm still going to have to cut a little out of some of the frame.
