hey guys i just got a t28 a while ago. been wondering about it...i dont know much about turbos especially the #'s deal. its got an a/r .80 and .63 turbine....any thoughts on how this turbo will act on a d15

 

...i think that's an AWFULLY big turbo for that engine

 

Heh, I also agree that might be a fairly to large of a turbo for that.. Very laggy, I was unaware that T28's came with that large of a compressor housing? got any pics of the turbo?

ill get some pics tomorrow....yeah its a/r is stamped .80 and i was told by the guy i bought it from the turbine was .63....actually im prefering something that will start spooling around 2400 and reach full bost maybe around 3g....will this turbo even lagg more than that?

 

that turbo sounded like the ones on the army tanks, even bigger some have a/r of 70, looks like a monster, sounde like something I would love for the autobahn.

 

My friend has the a T 28 on his 2G eclipse GS-T and it is even a bit laggy on that, you definitely won't reach full boost at 3K.

 

I would sell that turbo and look for something smaller like a T25, especially if you want full boost around 3000.

 

yeah, I believe tha t28 is an upgrade for the t25, but not the dsm t25...the one that comes on SR20's....that's a pretty bad *** turbo though, you just need more displacement...throw that thang on a V6...

 

from what i was told it came off a 99 sylvia....the guy had it on his crx si for a while...said when boost kicked in it hit pretty hard. i only paid $100 for turbo and mani...regardless of its preformance its not a bad deal i think.
