think i can use these pistons again?

ok they look to be very slightly warped on this one valve relief. think they are useable? the ringlands and everything else looks ok. if it matters these are weisco 9:1 forged pistons 81.5mm for b18b/a

the second pic looks worse than it is due to a tiny bit of carbon and a non focused camera

Get some fine emory cloth and clean them up so there are no sharp edges on it, and ------- roll em :)

looks like the started to melt. I guess you could use them, you might have a little blowby, but they might melt worse if you use them. Id personally replace them unless i was cheap and didnt care

that's how the wiseco's look, like jeff said, get some emory cloth or 400 grit sand paper and sand down all the sharp edges on them, the sharp edges like to heat up faster. i have the same pistons, here's a pic of mine, see how i rounded all the edges of the valve reliefs and the crowns.....

Re: think i can use these pistons again?

i just got them, the previoius owner cracked a sleeve from temporary lean condition, and here i am with a set of pistons and rods. the ringlands are fine, the rings are fine, its just the part of the piston from the top ring to the top of the piston that looks a tiny bit wavy. these pistons have less than 100 miles on them. i dont plan on doing more than 300whp with them, and im sure they are good for much more than that off the shelf....
