Things to do before i start it up!!!!??????help me!

Okay guys after 8 long months my civic is about ready to start up on boost!! i do have questions tho and they are as followed:

1. My CR is high (a6 block/z6 head) 9.9:1 CR... i do have a V-AFC, what should i be setting my AFC hack at? or another question would be what should i be worried about on high compression?

2. is there anything i should do before i start the car??? i know to prep the oil feed line by cranking it a few times to let oil get to the turbo...?

3. i'm almost 100% positive i know this but for safety sake i must ask you guys for you're answer.. retarding the timing is moving the distributor forward? am i not correct??? also where should i put the distributor before i start it up, dont' want detonation????

4. also for the z6 head and distributor, when the distributor is bolted on the head.. in what order does the spark plugs go in at??? need to be 100% positive.. i'm thinking its the same as the a6 but i would be very happy if someone had a diagram of it!!!!

my list as follows:

RHB5 turbo
DSM SMIC
DSM 450cc injectors
DSM bov
my custom chargepipes
V-AFC

help me with my questions!!!!! thanks!!! :)

1. search for people's settings or do the math. Amount to scale fuel back with vafc = stockinjectorsize / currentinjectorsize - 1. Then add for boost. Start rich to be safe and work your way down. The total amount will depend on how much boost you are going to run. And no, your cr should be fine, it is a little high, but hardly unworkable. Just watch your timing and fuel closely.

2. that is all I can think of.

3. use a light. Don't guess.

4. Huh? Just put them in. What difference does it make as to what order you install them in? ::)

3. WHICH way is retarding and advancing???? towards the front end of the car is retarding right?? or no?

4. if you don't put #1 - #4 wires in on the correct place on the distributor cap, your fucked.. so my question was what order do they go on???

1. Read the EM FAQ. This is clearly explained there.

2. Check all connections and make sure everything is hooked up right. Common sense is a must. Pre-lubing the turbo is a good idea.

3. Clockwise is to retard, counter to advance.

4. 1342 is the firing order. Set the crank to TDC and start at where the distributor is pointing. This will be #1 cylinder. The next plug wire on the distributor will be #3, #4, #2..... #1 cylinder is closest to the cam gear.

as far as i know you cant use a z6 dizzy the internals are way different i have a a6 dizzy modified to fit on the z6 head just a dremel and some big washers oh and at 13psi its not fast at all you dont go nowhere unless you got some good tires trust me ;D

Timing light is your friend, youll need it, it really doesnt matter what what your settings are at, as long as your timing belt is on right, and using the 450's, jsut start out on the vafc around -33 or so across the charts, start it up, check timing, retard a hair, then start tuning after you make sure it runs fine. Make sure its running nice and rich at first though, you wont boost at idle, so you dont really need to worry about detonation when you first start her up.
