test run and crazy noises

well just got done with my super-budget turbo beater, (almost) stil have to do the injectors and pop my chip in, but ya i was driving around the block with my open down pipe, and i can hear this thing spool crazy and when i build a little boost and let off, my bov seems to be working from what i can tell by the gauge, but i hear what i think is bad surging or whatever they calll that, when your turbo back spins because the bov aint doin its job. could it be the ghetto way my bov is mounted up? see the picture. yes the vac line is hooked up now

o ya and im using that fitting on the intake that usually goes to the valve cover for the bov

Re: test run and crazy noises

It's not the placement or the source (as long as your BOV vac line is hooked up better than in your pic)

Re: test run and crazy noises

the source is the same as I use and ive seen people mount the BOV in the same way, check the bov itself for piston movement

In the pic there is no line hooked up to your BOV

i ment if you look at the pic i think its obvious whats going on, the breather is on the valve cover, and the hole in the intake has a fitting in it.

how do i check the bov ? is there a way to test it or just shove my finger in it and try to push on the parts?

Re: test run and crazy noises

could a loose coupler cause this? i found one i didnt tighten, and could turn it by hand easy, but i still seen 5psi so id think the bov would function, it was on on the T by the bov
