teO4H downpipe question?

I'am looking at getting a dodge mitsu TEO4H, it does not come with a o2 downpipe housing, now can I use one off a 14b or t25 or is it totally different, I would rather have a 14b, but being a poor college student I'm getting a good deal for the turbo

A lot of times mounting configurations will limit you on the o2 sensor housing. Usually it's best to just use the flange pattern and weld a custom bent pipe to it. That would be the way that I would go, you're going to have to get a custom bent down pipe either way, mise well make it attach to the turbo.

does BMC racing make a flange for the TEO4H turbo?

Re:teO4H downpipe question?

a million people make those flanges, but yeah, i'm sure bmc racing has the pattern to make one. just bolt the flange to the turbo and build your exhaust/downpipe from that and weld an o2 bung in the pipe as close to the stock location as possible, weld an extra bun in some where also for a wide band o2 sensor and just block it off with a bolt when you're not using it, this will make tuning a million times easier.

Cool, let us know on your results. You'll most likely be taking the flange and dimensions to an exhaust shop for fabrication, they should be able to make it look okay for you.

if you want you can make your own (wich is what I would do). Just get a half inch steel plate and cut the flange to specs. Good luck either way.

Re:teO4H downpipe question?

that should'nt be a problem, my buddy Tyson owns a muffler shop, thats where we do all our projects, I contacted bmc racing and he said it would be two weeks at least to get designs done for the TEO4H, we might try to fabricated one, what kind of methods do you guys use?how thick the metal?I don't want to take it to a local machine shop, they were going to charge me 65 doller to make a adapter plate, I went to a metal fab shop and picked up a 3/4" metal plate 4.5"x4.5" for $5 and had my buddy Tyson blow through it wth the plasma cutter, it turned out well after I cleaned it out with the dremmel.

Re:teO4H downpipe question?

well I picked up a dsm t25 instead, off of e-bay, I hope I made the right choice, will that out perform the teo4h? I know it's smaller than a 14b, but on a d16z6 it should be alright, anyone know what the stock boost is? I want to run no more than 8psi being a daily driver, and it comes with a ported o2 housing, could I port the compressor housing to promote better flow?
