tell me what you think
Hey i got myself a Z6 out of a '95 SI and also managed to get a hold of a garrett T-25 with a manifold and adapter plate for a Z6. for now i'm gonna run low boost on stock internials then over the winter i am going to strip it down and re build with all new internals. and when thins frankenmotor is finished it will sit in my 2000 honda civic se. so tell me what you think and i am open to any suggestions and tips.

Re: tell me what you think
I think that if you are planning on upgrading this engine for more power in the future, you should as well get a T3 flanged manifold and turbo right away so it will be easier to upgrade the turbo when you want to make more power.
if you're caught with a t25 flange, you'll need to get expensive ball bearing turbos to make some good reliable power while the same power and reliability can be achieved with a properly sized t3 or t3-t4 turbo.
for example, you could easily get a .48/.42 T3 for now and upgrade to a 0.63/0.60 t3/t4 after your engine is built. Both will be 100% interchangeable with minimal work.
good luck.

Re: tell me what you think
I got the engine, transmission and computer for 400 bucks and i drove it to where i took it out. and i got a hold of the T-25 for 200 with the adapter plate and manifold, snd i know it is still good because it was still hot when i took it off. so for now i'm gonna run the T-25 untill i have enough cash to splurge on a T3 system but thanks for the info.

Re: tell me what you think
There's tons of different turbo options out there now a days with the dsm exhaust housing. Garretts usually are a little cheaper, but still if you want to upgrade just the turbo and leave the rest of your manifold on, you can find plenty of other turbos to upgrade to with a dsm housing on them. I personally run a T04E 50trim turbo with a 7cm2 dsm exhaust housing and internal gate. Hoping she'll get me to the 400hp mark.
