Default TE04H problem

i have just disassembled my te04h and am putting it back together. when i got the turbo it was in 2 pieces (exhaust casting seperate from everything else assembled). i am missing the center clamp that holds the center section to the exhaust side. when i put it back together there is a gap between these two mating faces caused by the exhaust turbine fins hitting the casting that goes around it. am i missing a gasket in the middle or something? if you need to see pics i can try and post some, or email me directly. aaronweir@cogeco.ca any help would be appreciated.

there is a gap there because there is slack between the two parts pick up the turbo and push inward on eachside and it will go away. you will need that clamp. the turbo prob wont spin right now like it is either.

i understand what you are saying, i should have said the gap is about 3mm. too big to push together. it goes together fine without the turbine and shaft installed. perhaps i put some of the center section together improperly somehow?
