TC03 Good for a simple build?
i've found a local TC03 in great condition for $75. just wondering if I can safely put up to about 10-11 psi???
I plan on only runnin about 6psi or so to start with, but i was wondering how much this one can take. i'd check more into it. (I have been searchin around but no luck finding the right info for this specific turbo) and i don't want to wait too long, as it's very possible this turbo will be sold quick. so if i could get a quick answer i'd greatly appreciate it. you won't see me doing many of these please quick answer threads as i understand looking for things myself. i just urgently need this info and i can't find it. |
I found these.
I don't know if the turbo came off a 8 valve COMPRESSOR MAPS or the 16 valve COMPRESSOR MAPS It is a .42A/R on the cold side and a .63A/R on the hotside. off an '84 saab 900 turbo i could make it fit, i just don't understand those compression maps at all.... so i don't know if this is something i need. it's a T03 so i imagine it'll work fine. just really need to know from someone with experience. UPDATE! nevermind. haha. i couldn't wait. I talked the guy down to $50 and i'm picking it up tomorrow. haha. |

let me know how it goes, because i have the same turbo as you. what car is this going on??
|
it would help if we had some idea of what car/engine you are putting this on. it would be a good turbo for a stock block civic, but a horrible turbo for a 454 chevy truck
|
Post up info on what it is going on, and post up compressor maps of what it is when you are sure what it is, and than with those we should be able to match it up to a more popular turbo we kn ow more about.
